Jill Ju founded True North Management on a simple but powerful conviction: that institutional-grade investment and genuinely good experience in living are fundamentally the same thing. Today, True North is a fast-growing flexible living platform with seven assets across London, in locations including Bank, Holborn and Wimbledon. Fully integrated from investment and development through to operations and backed by one of Europe’s leading institutional real estate investors, the platform is on track to exceed £1bn AUM.

 

Jill’s path to founding True North was shaped by her experience at the intersection of institutional capital and living sectors. As Chief Investment Officer at The Collective, she co-created the COLIV fund, one of the first institutionally structured vehicles in the flexible living space. Before that, as Investment Director at Greystar, she oversaw a £2bn+ student housing portfolio and led the company’s investor relations and expansion strategy in Asia. She also held earlier roles in investment banking at UBS.

 

Beyond returns, Jill is driven by what homes actually do for people. True North’s portfolio has generated over £200,000 in measurable social value, through community partnerships, charitable initiatives, and a resident-first operating philosophy rooted in the belief that great places to live make great cities.

 

Jill holds a Bachelor of Economics from Peking University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She has been recognised by Forbes, Property Week, and IPE Real Assets as one of the most influential voices in European real estate.
